TD120 Neodymium horn diffuser
Entirely made in Italy.
Straight horn diffuser with a high-efficiency magnet made of neodymium-iron-boron, a costly magnetic alloy that produces a magnetic field which is over 10 times stronger than the field generated by conventional ferrite. With this fundamental characteristic, the overall weight of the magnet unit has been reduced by 40%, and its size is smaller than the unit in the TD120 ferrite model, even though its efficiency is higher. Overall acoustic performance has been significantly improved, thanks to a newly designed diaphragm made of a stiffer, lighter material.
Because of its direct sound diffusion, this diffuser is perfect for reproducing aquatic bird calls. When detached from the bell, it turns into a super-tweeter that easily fits into your pocket and is ideal for reproducing shrill calls such as those of starlings, sparrows, skylarks, thrushes, etc. A smaller bell is available to reduce size even further.
The TD120 can even be connected to a high-power audio player.
Since 2022, Plurifon, in an effort to further improve its horn loudspeakers, has renewed both the magnetic complex and the cone. The frequency response and power handling have been significantly improved.
